Loving the Summer Dress

Loving the Summer Dress

I have a number of dresses that I rarely wear. I love them when I buy them, but then they hang in my closet. Perhaps, it's because they are basic colors such as denim or black.

My new summer dress is anything but dull. It's actually a water color print created by a Florida artist.

A few days ago, Bealls advertised a sale on dresses. I decided to see what they had and was pleased to find a collection of Florida artist's designs. I found scarves, tote bags, jewelry, and some beautiful summer dresses. I was drawn to the dresses.

It didn't take me long to accessorize my find.

I decided to keep my dress casual. I chose white sandals and a light pink purse. The purse is Prada, many years old but a perfect bag for my artsy dress. I added a turquoise long necklace to emphasize the gorgeous colors in the dress. The long necklace is also casual and flows with the dress.

I have a number of jackets I can wear with my new summer dress. Here's a white cover up.

Florida restaurants and stores can be cool with the air conditioning. I always carry a cover up with me.

In less than a week, I'll be 66 years old. My age does not stop me from wearing dresses above the knee. That's my choice. I love dresses that are mid length, too. It's all in what you feel comfortable wearing.

Have a lovely day, and if you get a chance, try on some summer dresses. It's fun and you may find something special.

A Note: a fellow fashionista said I needed a white purse and white earrings. Sounds awesome!
