Wearing Accessories

Wearing Accessories

As many of you know, my sister and I have a small side business making scarf vests and wraps which we sell on Etsy and take to arts and craft shows. Recently, we've been working on new designs for an upcoming show in November.

Today, I share a couple of our creations with you because accessories are a fun way to brighten an ensemble. I love adding a scarf vest, jewelry, hats, or colorful shoes to an outfit. It's creative and makes me feel good. And, don't we all love to feel good?

My first share is a restyled scarf or should I say scarves. I created this topper, boho kimono, or kaftan from two scarves. Here it is:

Excuse the cloudy pictures. It was so humid on the day I took the pics that my phone became cloudy with moisture. That's Florida! Anyways, as you can see, this topper is large and flowy. I love it. I decided to showcase it with white pants and a white shell. However, with autumn on the horizon, wouldn't this be great with the dusty purples or burgundy shades filling the stores right now? You can see the topper here.

My sister created a lovely duster style accessory that will take you into fall. It's so versatile that you could wear it with a dress or slacks or jeans! Here it is:

This topper was restyled from a large scarf. Notice the tassels that add interesting details. You can wear it straight down or tie it for another creative look. You can see it here.

Scarf vests, wraps, and kimonos are easy to find in your favorite store, if you know where to look. They are usually near the purses, belts, and scarves. It makes sense because they are a true accessory. If you've never tried one of these gems on, do it. You may be walking out of the store with a new fun piece.

Have an exciting day!
