Summer Jacket Sales

Summer Jacket Sales

Yesterday we went to Ocala for a Sunday meal with my sister, brother-in-law, and my great nephew who is spending the summer with his grandparents. It was a wonderful day, but hot, hot, hot. Summer in Florida is hot and humid with afternoon showers. So, I always take a summer jacket with me, just in case I get caught in one of those afternoon rains.

Summer jackets are sometimes overlooked because it's warm. Who needs a jacket? Actually, the summer jacket serves a number of purposes, and it's a step up when planning an outfit. They are great for air conditioned restaurants and stores, to protect you from the sun, and of course, the occasional rain event.  They are also light, so you can comfortably wear them even when the temperatures start to rise.

I bought this summer jacket in Dillard's during their July sale two years ago. It's my go to jacket when I wear khaki, black, or white.

I love the animal print of purple, black, and tan. Different from may of the prints we often see. It's also light even though it has all the details of a heavier jacket: zipper, snapped cuffs, and pockets.

You've seen me wear this next jacket often. It's actually 100% cotton, and even though it's heavier, it's a great jacket for summer because of the coral color.

I love my coral jacket. It's perfect to wear over a tank top and will take me into the fall when we are back to wearing jeans.

Light summer jackets are also available in scarf-like fabrics. This one is from Chico's. I don't think they have it now, but it's a great cover up for warm days.

Over the next few days, I will introduce some bolero style jackets that my sister and I just finished to put on Etsy. I'm planning on creating a special coupon code for my blog readers. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, enjoy the summer sales :)
