It's Monday already! Sunday was a busy day for us. We had family over for a barbeque of hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, and corn. No rain, just lots of sunshine.
I had the opportunity to spend time with my sister, so we could discuss our upcoming arts and crafts festival. We have to go through all of our kimonos, scarves, and dusters and decide what we want to make next.
I shared with her the new viscose kimono or scarf vest I just made. It's on Etsy and is part of my Monday outfit. Here it is.
I love this viscose kimono because it's so light. I chose to pull out the black for a dramatic look. I'm wearing a black sleeveless shell and my faithful Chico's Brigitte crops. I added a little bling with my sandals and a simple long necklace from my lia sophia jewelry that I used to sell. I topped it off with my black straw hat.
Black for summer? Yes, you can wear it. It's all about the material. Stick with breathable fabrics. The kimono is viscose, which is a type of rayon. This particular material is gauze-like, so it's super thin. My only issue with it is that the threads tend to pull open. Not a big deal, but I feel it's important to mention to those who may want to buy this jacket or who are looking at clothing items made of viscose.
Note that the kimono is versatile. I left the sides slightly open, so you could bring it up and tie it.
You can see the kimono here, on my Etsy site. If you wish to purchase it or anything else on the site, I'm offering a coupon code: LIVING10. Enter the code when checking out and receive a 10% discount on purchases of $20 and more. This offer is good for the month of July.
I hope your weekend was delightful, and I wish you a celebratory 4th of July!
