New Etsy Items
My sister and I are busy creating new looks for the Etsy shop and for an arts and craft show we will do this fall. We just listed two new items on the shop's site. Both are perfect for summer and both have added details to make our pieces stand out.
Our first item is a bolero style top that we restyled from a scarf. We decided to add some black trim to punch up the look. The gauze-like top has swirls of black and yellow against a light sand background.
I decided to accent the colors in the bolero jacket by wearing a Chico's sand colored shell and my Chico's Brigitte crops. I continued the cohesive look with my black hat and my neutral shoes. If you look closely, I'm wearing a black and gold necklace, as well. The gauze top is perfect for a hot summer day. And, with the black trim, the cover up goes from day to night. You can see it here.
Our next piece is one of my favorites. Again, this piece is made from a scarf. We added an embroidered butterfly to the back neck for extra detail. I have mentioned before that when you shop, look for details in a piece such as the cut or finishing touches. This piece is a tunic style.
My next piece is sitting by the sewing machine. It will be another open tunic style or kimono. I'm going to add a lovely lace applique as soon as I can find time to sit and work!
Retired life is fabulous. It's a time to explore all the activities you love. For me, it's creating women's accessories.
Have a wonderful day! I hope the summer weather is coming your way.
