The Big Square Scarf

Somewhere in your closet, I bet you have some scarves: infinity scarves, skinny scarves, pashminas, and the ever popular square scarf.

The scarf can wake up an outfit, brighten your complexion, and even give your purse a makeover. I started making scarves when I first opened my Etsy shop. In fact, it all started with a fleece scarf. I have since ventured to scarf vests, kimonos made from scarves, and even scarf ponchos.

But one of my favorite scarves is square with bright colors that complements my complexion.

In this picture, I'm wearing jeans and a white tank. I added my square scarf for a bit of color against my black blazer. The simple addition of color brightened up the black jacket, as well as my complexion.

To create the look, I simply folded the scarf into a triangle and rolled it up. I now have a long scarf, just one of many looks you can create with a square scarf.

You can also fold the scarf into a triangle and simply tie it to the side. It's a look that's been around forever, but you can't beat it for brightened up an outfit.

More ideas are here.

That square scarf can brighten up a purse, too. If it's a hot day, and a scarf is out of the question around your neck, consider tying it to your purse for a pop of color. Make a bow or just a knot.

The design in your scarf is your choice. Abstracts are great, as well as stripes, swirls, and even pictures of owls or cats :) I just love bright colors. As I said in an earlier post, I'm looking to purchase square silk scarves to add to my wardrobe. I can't wait to see what I can create.

Have a great day, and I hope it's as bright as the colors in my scarf!

Please share my posts! I'm starting to get more traffic and I thank you for that.
